Crafted with passion, our products reflect this beautiful region that we love. During the tasting you will live a sensorial journey. First, look at the colours, the texture… Then, enjoy the nose, the finesse and complexity of the aromas… Finally, the whisky will entirely reveal itself with additional flavours discovered by tasting.

ORGANIC EINKORN SPIRIT

A spirit of the scrubland

ENGRAIN is a spirit crafted with 100% organic einkorn originating from Haute-Provence. We exclusively use broken grains or granules resulting from the husking process of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Haute-Provence einkorn.

The creation of this brandy is driven by our commitment to maintaining a strong connection between our products and the terroir of Provence, where the cereals have flourished. It is a tribute to the farmers and our desire to introduce einkorn to a wider audience. After several years of maturation in barrels, this new make spirit will evolve into our whisky.

No cold filtration or additives are used.

Alcohol content is 48%. Bottled in 50cl.

Available exclusively at the castle’s boutique. €45.

CHATEAU DU BARROUX – WHISKY DE PROVENCE

Première cuvée – Sonata of the Origin

This whisky is crafted with a minimum of 65% organic-certified Petit Epeautre sourced from Haute-Provence.

  • We have chosen to preserve the extraordinary aromatic range of Petit Epeautre by minimizing the use of malt to highlight the primary aromas of the raw grain. Additionally, a minor proportion (on average 30%) of barley may be used.
  • The product is slowly distilled in a continuous ORTHES still dating back to the 1930s.
  • No chill filtration or additives. The color of our whiskies is natural.
  • Alcohol content: 49%. Bottled in 50cl.

Deuxième cuvée –Symphony of Terroirs

This whisky is crafted with a minimum of 100% organic-certified Petit Epeautre sourced from Haute-Provence.

  • The Petit Epeautre distillate was obtained through slow continuous distillation using our ORTHES still dating back to the 1930s.
  • The incredible aromatic richness of Petit Epeautre is fully expressed in this characterful edition: a successful marriage between the finesse of the distillate and the powerful maturation notes from new barrels crafted by French artisan coopers.
  • The balance of this whisky comes from a series of subtle aging choices, blending new barrels and old French wine barrels from exceptional terroirs.
  • Alcohol content: 49%. Bottled in 50cl.

Patrimoine : An Exceptional Cereal heritage

This whisky is made with 100% Petit Epeautre from Haute-Provence, certified IGP and cultivated using organic farming practices.

  • This whisky brilliantly reflects the extraordinary potential of the exceptional grain of Haute-Provence IGP Petit Epeautre.
  • It is the perfect harmony at its highest level of expressiveness, born from the union of an ancient cereal variety and its ideal terroir.
  • The balance of this whisky results from a subtle selection of aging processes, blending new barrels and old French wine barrels from exceptional terroirs.
  • Alcohol content: Between 49% and 55%. Bottled in 50cl.

Empreinte – A Bouquet of Memories

EMPREINTE is a whisky crafted with 100% Petit Epeautre grown in Haute-Provence using organic farming practices. Initially aged in new barrels, this whisky is produced from a single cask.

  • The creation of this whisky is guided by our desire to maintain a strong connection between our products and the Provençal terroir where the cereals were cultivated. It is both a tribute to the farmers and an effort to introduce Petit Epeautre to a wider audience. We envisioned this unique edition as a reflection of the memories of a year gone by.
  • Our whisky is aged in lightly toasted new barrels to preserve the authenticity of the distillate.
    No chill filtration or additives. The color of our whiskies is natural.
  • Alcohol content depends on the cask, varying between 45% and 55%. Bottled in 50cl.

Currently aging. Bottling will be decided based on the cellar master’s inspiration !
